UTA is floundering with FrontRunner right now. Last I heard, it costs UTA roughly $950 for one FR trip. Pretty ridiculous. Unfortunately, public transit will always run in the red, but I'm wondering what options they had other than a diesel train that gets 8 gallons/mile (no, that's not backwards). Could they have gone with electric?

Now they're going to try and force people onto the train by stopping what they call "redundant" service (the express buses are redundant because they follow similar, regular bus routes). More people will start to drive unless UTA can remain convenient.

I drive to work everyday instead of taking "mass transit" because It would take me an hour and a half. This doesn't include the 10 minute walk to a bus stop or the 8 minute drive to a UTA park and ride.

Driving my own car takes me 20 minutes, I can stop anywhere and buy a coke. I can run errands on the way to and way home from work. Also, I don't have any car payments and haven't for quite a while. I spend half as much in gas and upkeep of my car than if I had a monthly UTA pass.

Yeh! I can just see the efficiency now. Less doctors, less waiting room space, fewer Medical Assistants. Less sick people (because they die before treatment). Looks great on paper to me. Saves us lots of money.

Ok this is just wrong, The military needs to fight this and so should everyone else. Currently are armed forces are first to support and defend the constitution form all enemies foreign and domestic, then they are to obey the orders of the President of the United States. I can only see one reason to change this and that would be because you plan to do something with the constitution, thus the control of the military would make it easier to take away peoples rights as they swear loyalty to the President and not the constitution. This to me is very scary and must be fought.

I just finished reading the Book of Mormon and I can see how all the Secret Combinations are involved in the government and are at the point that they don't feel they need to hide any longer. If we as a people don't begin to stand up and fight what they are trying to do they will destroy our country and not just some of the foundation but the entire foundation. in the first week in office Obama has further destroyed our country's morals by allowing more abortions around the world using our tax dollars, and is pushing the gay agenda. That is a scary first week.

I will give Obama a chance, I will pray that he might be guided by our Heavenly Father to make the right choices. But I will also fight any and all socialism and those things that I believe to be wrong and against my beliefs I will do this with respect and civility, but I will fight to my last breath for this country. I believe that this country is a special country and is blessed by the Lord so long as we the people are righteous. So I will do what I can to help us continue to be blessed by the lord.

I hope for the best as well, i hope a lot of the information about Obama is false and he won't be a socialist.

I hope he won't shame our troops and surrender the war.

i hope he won't allow late term abortions as he has voted for the in past.

I hope he doesn't go for a world economy, and he has talked about in the past.

I hope we will actually lower taxes, unlike the raises he has talked about in the past.

I hope he won't limit our right to arms, as he has in the past.

I hope he won't support the fairness doctorine, as he has in the past.

I hope he doesn't go through with the 1.2 trillion dollar bailout plan he has be talking about this week.

I hope is doesn't regulate the internet as he has talked about in the past.

and i could go on. but i won't.

Let's just hope he somehow turns out to be someone totally diffrent that expected.... in a good way.
