Below is my letter to 'the Senator'

Why are you betraying your constituents?

Senator, you were sent to Washington to represent us, our values, and the Constitution.  Why do you for the sake of political expediency and to gain favor in the eyes of ‘the world’ do you betray your constituents, our values, and the Constitution.  Helping engage in the destruction of Freedom in this, the greatest nation on Earth, to lift yourself in the eyes of your political enemies is not only cowardly, it is fool-hardy.  Appeasement does nothing but destroy any respect anyone has for you, friend and foe alike.  We, your constituents who have placed you in Washington urge you to reconsider what you are doing before you make the worst mistake of your political career.  If you continue to actively work on the socialization and destruction of Freedom in America you will NOT be re-elected and the power for which you are so willing to throw away all principle will be lost to you forever as a result.  Do what you were elected to do Mr. Senator, or risk the loss of the thing you lust after most, power and prestige.
